How can you reduce the calories of a normal submarine and still have the good taste?
First of all, go the bakery and buy a freshly baked submarine sandwich. Now go home and empty it from the inside, by this you reduced 50% of its calories already.
In the oven:
- 2 slices of light kashkawan cheese
- 1 slice of ham
- 2 slices of salami
Put on the cheese, ham and salami in you sandwich then place it in the oven until the cheese melt up.
To add on:
- 1 cup of shredded raw cabbage, you can also add shredded carrots
- 1/2 cup of fresh diced tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon of corn
Once you remove the sandwich from the oven, add on the cabbage, tomato and corn.
- 1 teaspoon of light mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon of ketchup
- 1 tablespoon of mustard
Mix them all together and add them to your sandwich.
Total Calories: 550 Calories for the Light Classic Sub, instead of a minimum 800 Calories in the normal sub.
